MARTA Police is Hiring!


All MPD employees are eligible for $1500 Annual Bilingual Pay, $6000 Annual Shift Differential Pay (for working nights or weekends), $1500 Certification Pay (for Intermediate, Advanced, Supervision, and Managerial Certifications) and Annual College Tuition Reimbursement!

Benefits include annual pay increases and the ability to top out at $75,441.60. Most officers earn much more than their annual salary each year. In addition to overtime opportunities, officers who join one of our specialized units earn an additional 4% on top of their annual salary.

MPD officers also earn bonuses for having perfect attendance, working on the weekends, being bi-lingual, working in the evenings, and obtaining additional certifications. MPD also offers college tuition reimbursement and coverage of the monthly Georgia Peace Officer Annuity Benefit contribution. All new officers will receive a $3000 bonus upon completion of the Police Academy, Field Training and 3-year employment agreement. POST Certified Police Officers who transfer to MPD will receive a $5000 bonus upon completion of Field Training and 3-year employment agreement..
